: Customer Support Engineer - Punching 0

DIVISION
: Service To support customers with (but not limited to) Punch Presses with and without Automation. This includes installation and service. Provides field service to ensure customer satisfaction. Take continuing education on new machines and technologies. Not exclusive to the same functions as other Amada machines. Complete all aspects of the installation: Follow up on any aspects outside of the normal scope of work with the proper departments to obtain customer satisfaction. Complete status (service) reports, expense reports every week, and technical documentation as needed. Maintain excellent customer relations and follow through on customer issues. Maintain excellent coworker and manager relations. Complete other required internal paperwork (Urgent Parts Requests, Parts Removal Requests, Purchase Requisitions, etc.) Regular travel. Provide feedback to the manager on any machine and customer issues that require further action Demonstrate a commitment to an Injury-Free Environment by complying with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program Area and Regional Service Managers None This position requires technical and working knowledge of: Mechanical systems Electrical systems Hydraulics Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and Oscilloscope. Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS. Excellent written and verbal communication. Excellent relational skills (with customers, coworkers (senior and junior), and management). Routine travel, with overnight and weekend stays as needed. Ability to work harmoniously with others. Ability to accept and follow instructions; able to follow the chain of command. Ability to support a positive, "can-do" attitude. Ability to work alone and without direct supervision. Ability to take initiative, ownership, and be initiative-taking. Thorough and pays attention to detail. Takes an approach of doing a task correctly, not just "good enough". Able to redirect quickly if needed. Motivated and have self-initiative. Engaged. Teachable.
