Required Skills & Experience Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent experience in high-voltage power distribution systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, or related equipment commissioning activities. Minimum of 2 years of field service experience, with an emphasis on start-up and commissioning of electrical equipment. Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, and electrical control systems preferred. Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking concepts preferred. Understanding of lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures involving multiple power sources required. Strong teamwork and communication skills required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required. Effective problem-solving skills required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities required Ability to travel up to 60% Nice to Have Skills & Experience Prior experience working in data centers Prior supervisory or lead-level experience preferred. A client of Insight Global is looking for a Field Service Lead to oversee a team of Field Service Techs. Lead and coordinate start-up and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple customer sites, ensuring on-time completion and successful project closeout. Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and technical guidance to field service technicians while serving as the primary technical lead for troubleshooting and product expertise. Identify and escalate project risks, resolve on-site punch list items, and collaborate with project managers and field service leadership to allocate resources and meet service demands. Travel as needed to support training, factory and shop testing, and field commissioning efforts. Ensure technicians are properly equipped and report product or quality issues to management, partnering with engineering and production teams to drive resolution. Pay Ranges from $49.50/hr-$59.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings, paid leave as provided by applicable law and a company vehicle.
