STL Staffing is hiring an Electrical Technician in Appleton for a role that splits between shop work and field service. You'll be trained to provide predictive and preventive maintenance and repair on custom-engineered equipment. What you'll do Shop Handle electrical dress-out of equipment: running conduit, wire, and terminations. Build UL electrical cabinets and gas trains, and run air pipe and instrumentation tubing. Support research and development projects and refurbish equipment. QA equipment built by vendors. Field service Provide service and support on machines and related equipment. Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine solutions on-site. Build customer relationships and provide training as needed. Recommend additional services, equipment, or part upgrades based on customer needs. What we're looking for Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and ability to travel domestically and internationally frequently. Ability to design, read, and understand electrical schematics. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment. Understanding of electricity, pneumatics, electronics, mechanics, airflow, and gas flow. Knowledge of PLC programming and understanding of HMI and VFD drives. Industrial electromechanical experience. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Exceptional communication and customer relations skills. Pay and benefits $20-$40 an hour, depending on which client you're placed with and your experience level. 401(k) with match.
