Position Summary By acting as a trusted STERIS advisor to all Customers, a Field Service Representative for Life Science division willdrive an exceptional Customer experience by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair,equipment modifications, calibration, validation, and installation support on various mechanical, electro-mechanical,and electronic units. FSR's provide superior Customer service by proactively interacting with Customers daily and by completingassociated administrative tasks as required. Duties Drives Customer satisfaction through proactive communication and commitment to resolving Customers'issues/problems. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS and related product lines in a safe andefficient manner. This includes disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring orreassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use byusing standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals,etc.). Performs administrative duties as assigned to ensure effective planning, utilization, and required paperworkcompletion. This includes but is not limited to communicating schedule changes to the Customer Operations Department daily; verifying computer synchronization daily; completing service reports and activities withintwo business days after completing a Customer visit, maintaining on-site Customer Service Logs/TotalMaintenance Care books according to STERIS procedures; and maintaining tools and parts inventory toprescribed levels as required by the District Service Manager. Develops and maintains effective, communicative relationships with Customers, managers, support functionsand the sales organization. Communicates activities to Customers related to scheduling PreventativeMaintenance and estimated time of arrival for unscheduled work. Proactively responds to and resolvesCustomer problems/issues. Utilizes provided product and industry knowledge to assure Customers'expectations of service are exceeded. Increases company growth through identifying sales opportunities and recommending STERISproducts/services to Customers. Communicates leads to management and sales staff. Responds to routine Customer and sales questions regarding equipment operation and performance.

Identifies opportunities, sizing, utility requirements, on-site visits, and pre-installation evaluations. Providestimely service calls, warranty calls, field upgrade programs, etc. Maintains courteous and professional demeanor when working with Customers, contractors, management,and fellow employees. Utilizes Customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abides by allSTERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures. Learning period approximately six to twelve months. Duties - cont'd Education Degree High School Diploma or GED Required Experience General knowledge of the principles and methods of sterilization, steam systems, sterilizers, and othermethods of sterilization / decontamination. Strong Customer communications skills and experience with the demonstrated ability to build positiverapport and partner with a variety of Customers. Demonstrated proficiency with computers and Windows software. Proficiency with web technologies andnavigating internet/intranet sites. Ability to work independently without supervision. Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities. Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside "normal business hours" and travel as required. Valid Driver's License This position requires overnight travel during the workweek Knowledge of English language is preferred (Europe).
