Milwaukee, WI Area - Onsite Job Overview Generac is seeking a Senior Embedded Controls Engineer with strong expertise in Model-Based Design using MATLAB/Simulink . The engineer will develop models from scratch for complex physical systems, develop and tune control algorithms, support simulation and validation, and generate production embedded code. Experience with gensets/engine controls, generators, power management, power conversion, or medium-voltage systems is highly relevant. Candidates do not need to have both genset and medium-voltage experience. Key Responsibilities Develop MATLAB/Simulink models from scratch for complex physical and electromechanical systems. Build physics-based, mathematical, or data-driven models. Model systems such as engines, generators, gensets, power conversion equipment, or similar systems . Design, simulate, tune, and validate embedded control algorithms . Configure models for automatic embedded code generation . Support model verification, simulation, MIL/SIL/HIL testing, and controls validation. Generate and validate production-quality embedded software from Simulink models.
