Job Description:
Work on one of the world's largest Battery Energy Storage System Developers, for the client as their Commissioning Manager-Analytics. The primary roles are to conduct plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA Testing and startup of a Battery Energy Storage System and Solar Coupled Power systems. To act as the Owner's representative to oversee aspects of the energy storage system including: compliance, status reporting, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing. Employees in this role manage and report on commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.Location:
The position involves occasional travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes, with an estimated travel frequency of up to 25%. The remaining work is primarily remote, focused on providing support through SCADA monitoring.Reports To:
Client Senior Cx Project ManagerPreferred Background:
Engineering or professional electrical career in power systems construction and startup with min 100MW-hr or 5 EA energy storage systems and commissioning. A background with BESS is required. Experience with SCADA is preferred.Required Skill Sets:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup
- Must have a thorough understanding of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS
- Commissioning process creation
- Understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners
- Thorough understanding of DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV)
- Experience with control and SCADA systems and troubleshooting
- Organizations skills
- Computer skills MS word, Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Communication to third parties and executives
- Ability to effectively organize and strategize schedules and plans.

Team and SCADA PM/Lead with functional checks- Work with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project manager to develop a Commissioning schedule based on Mechanical completion
- Work with SCADA integrator and Commissioning Manger to execute site acceptance testing.
- Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
- Perform OEM Testing
- Perform Plant Balancing
- Perform Capacity Testing
- Perform notification of AVR/AGC and support
- Review performance data for deficiencies Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded HMI controls
- Prolonged periods of screen time and sitting
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations
