Tenaska Marketing Ventures (TMV) is seeking a curious, collaborative, and analytical problem solver to join our team as an Innovation Analyst in Omaha, NE. The Innovation Analyst plays a key role in advancing the Business Optimization & Innovation team's mission to drive process improvement and operational excellence across the organization. This position identifies inefficiencies, develops creative solutions, and leads change initiatives that deliver measurable business results and create competitive advantage. In this role, you'll manage projects from idea through implementation and adoption, partnering cross-functionally to bring innovative solutions to life. Leveraging your knowledge of the natural gas industry, you'll help shape how the business operates - driving meaningful change, improving user experience, and enabling smarter, more efficient ways of working. Onsite inOmaha, NE Essential Job Functions :
Serve as a subject matter expert in the natural gas industry to inform and deliver best-in-class solutions Lead and support initiatives across the full project lifecycle - from ideation through implementation and adoption - ensuring clear requirements, thorough evaluation of operational risks and business value, and timely delivery Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and pain points, and translate them into actionable solutions Drive user adoption of new products and tools by providing exceptional support and fostering a positive end-user experience Test and validate upcoming product releases to ensure smooth, effective deployment Enable users and customers by building skills, confidence, and long-term proficiency in new systems and solutions Take ownership of initiatives, helping to prioritize efforts that deliver the greatest business impact Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities and championing new ideas across the organizationBasic Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis Two+ years of experience in natural gas scheduling, trading, structuring, accounting, or risk control. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and existing or strong propensity to learn TMV's Gas Management System (GMS)Preferred Requirements:
Strong understanding of business processes and organizational landscape Experience in business intelligence, operational analytics, and/or predictive analysis Experience with energy commodities, trading practices, supply chain logistics, and/or financial derivatives and options Progressive, creative problem solver with a forward-thinking mindset Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously Customer-focused with a commitment to exceeding expectations Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across diverse groups and organizational levels Demonstrated leadership with the ability to teach, mentor, and develop others Self-motivated with strong attention to detailEmployee Benefits:
