Job Description

Job Description This role ensures accurate energy and utility data to support customer billing, reporting, and operations across global data centers. The analyst reviews utility invoices, reconciles power usage, investigates discrepancies, and provides data to accounting for accurate billing. Key Responsibilities
  •  Review and approve utility invoices; identify errors
  •  Reconcile energy usage across providers, facilities, and equipment
  •  Support customer billing (including complex pass-through billing)
  •  Analyze usage data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or reporting issues
  •  Prepare and validate energy data prior to billing
  •  Publish metrics (e.g., PUE) and generate reports for leadership
  •  Partner with operations, utility providers, and accounting to resolve issues
  •  Support audits (SOX) and maintain accurate documentation

  •  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Energy Management
  •  2-4+ years of experience in energy management, utilities, accounting operations, or a related analytical role.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft office and Excel
  •  Experience partnering with Revenue Accounting or Billing teams
  •  Strong understanding of utility billing structures, rate methodologies, metering concepts, and invoice validation processes.
  •  Experience working with large datasets, dashboards, and recurring operational workflows.
  •  High attention to detail with the ability to manage continuous, deadline driven processes.
  •  Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  •  Familiarity with PUE calculations, energy efficiency metrics, and data center energy operations.
  •  Experience with DCIM or UEM systems (e.g., NEO, Foreseer, Nlyte).
  •  Understanding of KWH/KW/megawatts/tax riders
  •  Workday experience
