Job Description

Role A RM II provides support to the energy manager to achieve a robust energy management program through accomplishing actions/projects that address the energy laws, regulations, policies, goals, and directives. A RM2 is expected to:
  • Provide technical and analytical support of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and relevant applications within their respective Region.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining existing IESPs.
  • Identify state or federal programs that support project development.
  • Investigate the potential for receiving utility incentives.
  • Provide technical and analytical support in identifying and evaluating project opportunities and support project development efforts for ERCIP, UESCs, ESPCs, and/or PPAs.
  • Provide technical and analytical support to Regions and Installations stakeholders to develop requirements and to implement and expand micro-grids, as well as associated metering and controls systems.
  • Provide technical and analytical support in reviewing investment grade audits, LCCA, and provide continued support throughout the life of ESPCs, UESCs, and PPAs
  • Monitor and evaluate energy and water consumption and cost data.
  • Provide technical and analytical support to installations in gathering metering data.
  • Perform building/equipment analysis through the use of data logging devices to detect anomalies with building/equipment performance.
  • Perform utility rate and billing analyses.
  • Identify low cost/no cost energy efficiencies through field investigations and provide recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Provide support to develop and implement a strategic communications campaign that will.
  • Relate energy conservation to operational readiness.
  • Disseminate information on energy matters and energy conservation techniques.
  • Publicize energy conservation goals.
  • Promote energy resilience
  • Promote energy efficiency awards and recognition.
  • Encourage commands and/or installations to observe October as Energy Awareness Month.
Required Certifications Shall be U. S. citizens and shall be able to pass a National Agency Check or SF-85P (NACI). Required Education and Experience Shall possess at least one of the following combinations of educational and related experience requirements: 1. 4-year engineering/architectural degree OR Professional Engineer (PE) OR Registered Architect (RA)
