Job Description

The Associate, Energy Efficiency supports Energy Efficiency team members in the execution and management of Energy Efficiency programs. This role serves as a central point of coordination between program stakeholders, external vendors, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure programs are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with company standards. This role provides program-level status reporting to the Energy Efficiency management team and senior company leadership, helps manage the impacts of internal direction on active construction and pipeline projects, and supports day-to-day program operations. Responsibilities include managing projects and programs in Excel, Power BI, Salesforce, and Smartsheet; preparing materials for internal stakeholders; and supporting opportunity management. The Associate partners cross-functionally with Leasing, Legal, Accounting, and Transactions to align stakeholders and drive program execution. Additionally, the Associate owns and maintains the data, trackers, and process documentation required to operate Energy Efficiency programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the execution of Energy Efficiency programs (e.g., LED lighting and other energy efficiency programs as well as national signage initiatives) by coordinating tasks across internal teams, vendors, and Property Management. Track program progress, milestones, and open action items using dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools; maintain accurate and timely data. Maintain and update program documentation, templates, trackers, and reference materials used for program management and leadership reporting. Prepare recurring status updates, summaries, and materials for internal meetings and management reporting. Assist with program research and analysis, including market tracking, evaluation of new technologies, and support for business case development. Support budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting workflows across portfolio-level programs, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Serve as a point of contact for routine program inquiries; escalate issues as needed and ensure timely follow-up and resolution. Coordinate with Technology and Reporting teams to support dashboards, data validation, and continuous process improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally with Leasing, Legal, Construction, Accounting, and Transactions to align stakeholders and drive project execution. Support special projects and other duties as assigned related to energy efficiency, sustainability, and portfolio-wide initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
2-5+ years of experience in real estate private equity and/or sustainability and/or project/program management BS/BA required in Real Estate, Business, or similar field. Experience supporting operational or programmatic initiatives in a cross‑functional environment Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and track detailed information accurately Comfort working with dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools; experience with Power BI, Salesforce, Yardi, Smartsheet, Excel, and similar tools preferred Growth mindset around skill development, particularly related to AI and Data Management Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with internal stakeholders and external partners Detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving, evolving program environment Interest in energy efficiency, sustainability, and real estate EEO Statement The Company is an equal opportunity employer.
