Job Description
Primary Purpose Assist the Energy Manager in diagnosing, repairing, troubleshooting, and responding to the utility needs of the district's facilities. Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure High school diploma or GED Associate's degree in electronics or computer science desired Texas driver's license and pass MVR driving record check - must meet eligibility requirements for CCISD motor vehicle insurance Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated knowledge of computerized energy management Basic knowledge of hardware and software of building automation systems Ability to use diagnostic equipment such as digital volt meters, flowtronics Ability to work in confined areas Ability to pull and install DDC control cable Ability to work flexible schedule Experience Minimum of 2 years of technical training or hands on experience in facilities energy management program Major Responsibilities and Duties Assist the Energy Manager in the installation of DDC controls and other components to enhance the total energy management program. Program requested facility schedule for air conditioning and heating usage. Respond and assist the Energy Manager to determine appropriate temperature settings for work order requests. Assist the Energy Manager to determine appropriate response to any HVAC work order requests for DDC evaluations. Rotate with Energy Manager for after-hours emergency calls. Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers. Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met. Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal). Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
