Opportunity:
Step into the forefront of aerospace research and development with this exciting opportunity as a Wind Tunnel Model Design Engineer. With over five decades of experience, our client is a pioneer in the precision design and fabrication of aerospace wind tunnel test models. Collaborate with industry leaders such as NASA, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, and contribute to advancing cutting-edge aerospace technology. This role offers the perfect blend of challenge and innovation in a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Design and develop precision wind tunnel test models using advanced 3D CAD software, such as Siemens NX. Conduct structural analysis to ensure design integrity and functionality. Collaborate with a team of experts to refine models for optimal performance. Implement detailed design specifications for aerospace applications while adhering to stringent industry standards. Contribute to the design and fabrication of models used in dynamic aerodynamic testing and certification processes. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace or aircraft industry. Proficiency in 3D design using Siemens NX or comparable software. Strong foundation in structural analysis. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations. DoD clearance is desirable. Familiarity with wind tunnel model design, test fixtures, precision mechanisms, or machined-metal structural part design is advantageous.
