POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dedicated Field Engineering Intern that is currently a freshman or sophomore enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Currently a freshman or sophomore enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship SKILLS Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar engineering software is a plus Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to Field Engineers or Project Engineers to visit new vessels under construction, in order to get an appreciation for the vessels, the skill set needed for field engineering, the construction process and assist with light duty field engineering work. This is a great opportunity to visit new vessels under construction This role will require outside of office visits to the vessels Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required and worn daily in this role
