Extramural funds. To begin approximately October 2026 or soon thereafter. Renewal of appointment is contingent upon availability of funds, program/operational needs and satisfactory performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Principal Investigator with the development, test, and evaluation of advanced grid architectures, new technologies and methods for the effective integration of renewable energy resources, and enhanced power system resilience, and optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:
B. Sc. Or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Prior admission to a graduate program in Electrical Engineering at the University of Hawai'i. Ability to work in research organizations and establish and maintain professional relationships with coworkers.
Desirable Qualifications:
Proficiency in Python programming and an understanding of optimization algorithms.
