Job Description The Principal Controls & Automation Engineer will report directly into the Director of Engineering and be responsible for: Lead automation and controls strategy across manufacturing operations. Design, implement, and optimize automation systems that improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Develop controls architecture and standards for current and future manufacturing platforms. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, equipment performance, and system reliability. Partner with cross-functional teams to support equipment development, commissioning, troubleshooting, and scale-up activities. Evaluate and implement emerging automation technologies to support business growth. Mentor engineers and serve as the subject matter expert for controls and automation systems. Support capital equipment projects from specification and design through validation and production launch. Establish best practices for automation, controls integration, and manufacturing system performance. Apply today for immediate consideration! The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering 8+ years of controls and automation engineering experience. Strong background supporting manufacturing operations. Proven expertise in automation systems, controls architecture, and process improvement initiatives. Experience leading complex engineering projects and driving measurable operational results. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. What's on Offer A competitive salary range of approximately $150,000 - $200,000 based on qualifications and experience.
