Job Description

Role & Scope This position is responsible for providing technical analysis, advice, and support to customers for electric and natural gas energy efficiency projects. The position supports the development, promotion, and implementation of energy efficiency programs to meet established goals. Essential Functions / Typical Responsibilities Participates in the development of program and implementation plans for electric and natural gas energy efficiency programs. Reviews technical parameters and confirms that projects conform to engineering standards, energy codes, and incentive program rules. Performs energy analysis to determine electric and natural gas energy savings. Provides guidance and planning to ensure that all projects yield measurable and verifiable energy savings. Supports and/or conducts inspections of equipment and operations in alignment with energy savings calculations and incentive program rules. Collaborates with third parties and customers for implementation of energy efficiency programs. Conducts detailed analysis of high-efficiency HVAC equipment, motors, controls, lighting systems, and other equipment to determine electric and natural gas energy savings compared to baseline equipment and/or building codes. Provides training and support services for the energy efficiency team and program marketing activities. Supports Eversource at national energy efficiency conferences and/or stakeholder events, including ACEEE, ASHRAE, ACI, CEE, and state/regional R&D groups. Conducts evaluations of new technologies and other research and development activities. Education & Experience Baccalaureate/Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing is desirable. Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering or a related technical role. Technical Skills Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Working knowledge of standard office computer software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Licenses & Certifications The following certifications are preferred but NOT required : Engineer in Training (EIT) Professional Engineer (PE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional Working Conditions / Travel Work is primarily performed in an office environment and requires a combination of personal computer and telephone work, as well as field visits to customer sites. Approximately 25% travel , roughly one day per week, to different sites in Massachusetts. Must be available to travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire as necessary. Must be available to work emergency restoration assignments as required. Work Environment / Mental Aspects Role requires managing multiple simultaneous activities. Must be able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure while handling significant business commitments and results. Must display emotional resilience and the ability to withstand ongoing pressure. Must be able to deal with difficult situations while maintaining performance. #AJ1
Pay:
From $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
