The job responsibilities for the Assistant Professor position include teaching courses (with labs) in microcontrollers, digital systems, control systems, among other areas. Additionally, candidates should be enthusiastic about innovations in instruction, curriculum development, and student engagement. The successful candidate must have expertise in one or more of the following electrical engineering areas such as digital systems, chip design, and intelligent and autonomous systems (AI/machine learning, robotics). Candidates for this position are expected to develop externally funded applied research programs and projects involving students on applied research. Other responsibilities include advising students, directing student projects, and participating in continuous professional development, as well as other departmental and institutional service activities. Minimum Requirements PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Prior education at an ABET accredited program/department, or prior working experience at an ABET accredited program/department/institution. Preferred Qualifications Relevant industry experience.
