Up to 15% An industry-leading controls and automation company is seeking a Proposal Engineer to support its North American power projects organization. This position will lead the development of technical and commercial proposals for power generation projects, including new generation, plant retrofits, renewable power, and data center and AI infrastructure applications. Responsibilities Prepare DCS and automation proposals for power generation, retrofit, renewable energy, and data center projects. Review customer specifications and develop appropriate proposal strategies. Define project scopes, engineering requirements, cost estimates, and technical solutions. Collaborate with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices to validate feasibility, pricing, and risk. Engage with customers to understand their applications and communicate available technical capabilities. Support customer presentations, proposal interviews, contract discussions, and negotiations. Deliver accurate and competitive proposal packages within established deadlines. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least five years of relevant experience. Experience in control systems, process operations, project engineering, or technical proposal development. Ability to travel up to 15%. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Preferred Experience Experience with DCS, PLC, or SCADA control systems. Background in proposal development, cost estimating, or project engineering. Power generation or industrial process experience. Experience supporting data center applications or customers. Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop practical, competitive solutions.
