Role Description The General Engineering role at Actinide is a full-time, on-site position based in Dallas, TX. This role involves contributing to the design, development, testing, and improvement of isotope separation systems and related hardware. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting experiments, analyzing performance data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and documenting engineering processes and results. The engineer will help refine designs for manufacturability and reliability, assist in troubleshooting equipment and system issues, and participate in safety and quality reviews. The role also requires clear communication of technical findings and active engagement in continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organization. Qualifications Strong foundation in general engineering principles (e.g., mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, or systems engineering) and ability to apply them to complex physical systems. Experience with design and analysis tools (such as CAD software, simulation tools, or modeling environments) and comfort interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Hands-on skills in prototyping, testing, and experimental setup, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to inform design decisions. Knowledge of laboratory or industrial safety practices, quality control methods, and standard operating procedures in a technical environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document work clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; advanced degree or relevant industry experience in high-precision or high-reliability systems is a plus. Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX, adapt to a fast-moving environment, and take initiative in solving technical and operational challenges. Experience in fields related to isotopes, advanced materials, energy systems, or defense technologies is beneficial but not required.
