Make an impact in the Renewable Energy sector. SEYSES is an international engineering and construction company specialized in renewable energy, with offices in Spain, the United States, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Brazil. Our global vision and flexibility allow us to successfully deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects worldwide. We are currently looking for a Technical Advisor to support the execution of a utility-scale photovoltaic project based in Dallas, Texas . This position requires a local technical profile , with strong knowledge of U.S. electrical standards and field experience in photovoltaic construction and commissioning.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Advisor will act as the on-site technical reference for the project, providing specialized support during installation, testing, and commissioning phases. The role bridges Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams, ensuring full technical compliance with project specifications and U.S. regulations. This is a field-based position with direct involvement in site activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support on-site during all phases of photovoltaic construction, including civil, mechanical, and electrical works. Interpret and validate technical documentation such as IFC drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), layouts, and wiring diagrams. Ensure installations comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable U.S. standards (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL). Support and oversee commissioning activities, including: Pre-commissioning inspections Inverter energization Functional testing Protection testing Grid synchronization Coordinate technical matters with subcontractors, equipment manufacturers (inverters, trackers, SCADA), and internal engineering teams. Assist during inspections with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility representatives. Review and validate as-built documentation, test reports, and technical closing dossiers. Identify technical deviations and propose corrective actions in coordination with Project Management. Support the preparation for Mechanical Completion, Substantial Completion, and Final Completion milestones.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in utility-scale photovoltaic projects. Strong knowledge of U.S. electrical regulations, especially NEC (National Electrical Code). Proven experience in commissioning and energization of PV plants. Experience working directly on-site in construction environments. Ability to interface with utilities, inspectors, and owner's engineers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be a local profile based in or near Dallas, Texas. Availability for full-time on-site presence.
