Job Description

Leads Guidance, Navigation and Control system requirements, modeling, simulation, trade studies, design reviews, and testing for complex aerospace systems. Job Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline. 9+ years of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) experience with a Bachelor's degree. 7+ years of GN&C experience with a Master's degree. 4+ years of GN&C experience with a Doctorate degree. 3+ years of experience using MATLAB/Simulink or MatrixX for system modeling and simulation. Experience defining GN&C, mission, or trajectory requirements. Experience managing requirements traceability from system level through component level. Experience designing and analyzing GN&C systems. Experience developing simulations, models, and engineering tools. Experience leading engineering trade studies. Experience supporting design reviews, engineering analyses, simulations, and system or component testing. Must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person as defined by applicable regulations. Preferred Skills Experience with system and component modeling. Experience developing high-fidelity simulations. Experience implementing algorithms in real-time systems. Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulator (HILS) experience. Experience with aerospace mission or trajectory analysis. Experience developing and validating flight control, navigation, or guidance algorithms. Degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program. Job Responsibilities Define Guidance, Navigation and Control requirements for aerospace systems. Define mission and trajectory requirements as applicable. Maintain requirements traceability and technical quality from system-level requirements through component-level implementation. Design and analyze GN&C systems. Develop and maintain GN&C simulations, mathematical models, and engineering tools. Provide technical direction for GN&C modeling and simulation activities. Lead trade studies to evaluate design alternatives and identify solutions that meet program requirements. Lead GN&C design reviews and technical analyses. Conduct and evaluate system simulations to verify performance. Support component-level and system-level testing. Verify GN&C designs meet applicable technical and program requirements. Support real-time implementation and validation of GN&C algorithms. Develop and evaluate Hardware-in-the-Loop simulations when applicable. Provide technical oversight and guidance to engineers supporting GN&C development activities.
Pay:
