Job Summary:
The Energy Conservation Engineer is responsible for advancing the efficient use of energy across the agricultural, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. This role involves collaborating with utility customers, trade partners, and industry representatives to design, implement, and support energy conservation measures and projects. The engineer provides technical support, conducts outreach, and serves as a subject matter expert to ensure that energy savings goals are met. Key responsibilities include developing and launching energy conservation initiatives, performing measurement and verification activities, and providing detailed technical guidance throughout project lifecycles. The engineer will also create new energy-saving measure offerings, deliver high-quality customer service, and contribute to the successful completion of projects. Assignments may be based on geographic location or area of expertise, and the engineer is expected to work closely with other team members to collectively achieve organizational objectives.
Required Technical Skills:
' Strong foundation in energy conservation principles and the application of energy-efficient technologies across multiple sectors. ' Experience with the development, implementation, and evaluation of energy conservation projects and measures. ' Ability to perform measurement and verification of energy savings using industry-standard protocols and analytical tools. ' Proficiency in interpreting and applying relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to energy efficiency and conservation. ' Technical writing skills for drafting project reports, recommendations, and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. ' Ability to analyze technical data, diagnose issues, and recommend effective solutions for energy conservation challenges.
Required Experience:
' Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or a closely related field. ' At least 1-2 years of professional experience in energy conservation, energy efficiency, or a related engineering discipline. ' Demonstrated success in customer outreach, technical support, or project management in the context of energy efficiency initiatives. ' Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and supporting multiple projects simultaneously. ' Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service and problem-solving.
