Complex Chief Engineer AC Hotels Tuscaloosa Downtown Tuscaloosa, AL Job Details 9 hours ago Qualifications Managing engineering teams Distributed systems Managing projects Full Job Description Duties and Responsibilities for this position include: Oversee the physical operations of two properties, including maintenance and repair of interior and exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating, air conditioning (HVAC), ventilation, and water treatment systems, and swimming pool-if applicable Lead, manage, and empower two teams of maintenance workers Expert knowledge of at least one application discipline, along with the ability to learn new technologies based on business needs Sound analytical skills to deal with requirements and/or issues that may be loosely defined and the ability to further manipulate and expand on them Ability to set the right hiring standards within the company and successfully recruit new engineers to build out the team Qualifications for this position include: 3+ years experience in roles leading and managing teams of 6 or more Excellent knowledge of high transaction environments, distributed workflows, and web platform architectures Driven, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines Creative and efficient in solving complex, time-critical problems Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule including holidays and weekends Desired skills for this position include: Plumbing, Electrical, Refrigeration, State and Federal Codes, Excel, Local Laws and Regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a unique ability to explain and distill broader concepts as they relate to technical task-level activities Relevant college degree(s) Managing teams for 5-10 yrs Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
