Project Designer - Aviation
Job Description
McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is a regional, multidisciplined engineering consulting firm with more than 160 employees throughout four offices in Little Rock, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and Rogers. Summary Supporting the Little Rock, AR office, the Aviation Project Designer designs, drafts, and works alongside specification writers, technical engineers, surveyors, and interns working on specific projects. As a member of the team, you will be involved in the planning, designing, and assisting with a wide variety of aviation-related projects. This position will serve as a key part of our aviation team and will have the opportunity to work on challenging turnkey projects with an experienced design team, while also gaining valuable knowledge from professional engineers with many years of experience. Responsibilities Cost estimating and preliminary design Assisting with funding applications and environmental studies Perform detailed reviews, studies, analyses, etc., and prepare detailed report on results and findings Develop construction plans and specifications Perform detailed design calculations Consult with clients to obtain and relay information relating to projects Assist in the management of projects throughout construction. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures of the FAA Basic knowledge of airport operations Initiative and ability to exercise independent judgement Experience with

Creativity, Problem Solving, Time Management & Planning, Critical Thinking Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.
