Job Description

As our Design Engineering Manager , you will lead a high-performing engineering team while driving product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will oversee engineering initiatives that support new product development, optimize manufacturing processes, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer experience and fuel business growth. What Success Looks Like:
Building and developing a high-performing engineering team that is engaged, accountable, and focused on delivering results. Driving new product development projects from concept through launch while meeting quality, cost, and timeline objectives. Partnering effectively with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Management to solve challenges and support business growth. Leading a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, implementing sustainable solutions, and using data to drive decisions. Delivering engineering projects on time and within budget while effectively managing priorities and resources. Building strong relationships across the organization by communicating effectively, influencing stakeholders, and earning trust. Supporting strategic initiatives that position the Bilco brand for long-term growth and innovation. Travel to other Quanex locations will be required as needed.
Your Credentials:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Professional Engineer Credential Preferred Experience with metal fabrication including tooling and process equipment design Knowledge of regulatory compliance and building code standards necessary 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in a manufacturing environment 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience; experience managing remote team members a plus
Salary:
