Job Summary As the Area Manager of Transportation (Civil Roadway and Development) at WWC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Transportation and related operations in the Southwest Division. Your responsibilities include providing leadership, strategic guidance, and ensuring the achievement of both short-term and long-term goals. Collaborating closely with the Division Manager, your aim is to contribute to the overall growth and success of WWC.
Key Responsibilities :
Envision, implement, and uphold the company's vision and core values. Develop and execute a strategic plan for the area, aligning with company goals. Establish and uphold area objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company policy boundaries. Foster relationships with current and prospective clients to facilitate construction activities. Mentor and develop area employees, ensuring comprehensive training, growth opportunities, and access to leadership development. Represent the company in project and strategy meetings. Manage financial aspects of contracts to safeguard the company's interests and maintain positive client relationships. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications:
Hold a 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent. Possess extensive experience (7 or more years) and knowledge in large earthwork construction, finance, and management. Demonstrate experience in leading multi-million-dollar contracts, overseeing operations, project administration, and client relations for large construction projects. Apply innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance. Possess a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards. Exhibit superior communication and interpersonal skills, including tact, diplomacy, and influence. Show significant business acumen.
