As a key member within Amazon's Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team, the Occupancy Planner role will support space allocations and coordinate with space planners to manage, assign, and report on plans for employees and teams. The Occupancy Planner will be expected to align real estate strategy to business needs in partnership with key GREF stakeholders and maintain a customer-centric approach. The role will partner with business managers and employees to implement workplace design, space planning, and move needs for their assigned region or cities, in order to inform supply and demand allocations and change requests. The role will be responsible for developing recommendations regarding workplace design and space allocation, and translate it into GREF's broader business requirements that enable effective solutions in alignment with Amazon's overall workplace strategy. The candidate must be able to balance frugality with creativity in offering solutions and approach problem-solving with an emphasis on root cause. Key job responsibilities Support real estate areas for space-related tasks, including space allocation and workspace design Oversee the collection, verification, and analysis of headcount and space data, including current capacity and future projections, to support occupancy planning and space optimization Act as a key liaison between occupancy planning teams, GREF partners, and business units. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to gather direction and align occupancy plans with business needs Develop occupancy scenarios and migration plans, evaluating multiple options to deliver data-driven recommendations that support real estate strategy and business goals Support defect resolution processes related to space allocation Manage reporting on occupancy metrics, space allocations, and other relevant data to support real estate decisions and portfolio strategy Oversee operational occupancy requests and coordinate with GREF teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date space utilization data and as-built documentation Identify opportunities for improving move and space management processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of program or project management experience 5+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams 3+ years of experience in Occupancy Planning or Space Planning for Commercial Real Estate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
