Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies.

$80.00 - $85.00/hr.Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to support our Hardware Design TPMs in driving engineering design deliverables, managing hardware component delivery, and creating development schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development processes, familiarity with product design fabrication processes, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities Support Hardware Design TPMs in coordinating and driving engineering design deliverables, including specifications, DOE, and validation plans. Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines. Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs. Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership. Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints. Manage communication within and between internal cross-functional and external partners. Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review. Qualifications BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5 years of experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics. Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components. Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models. Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs. Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation, and characterization processes. Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail. Knowledge of program top issue tracking. Experience operating across multiple teams and programs. Skills Prior experience in a hardware engineering role. Experience working with a large number of cross-functional partners. Supplier management skills - work with overseas suppliers. Prefer Senior experience, happy to take an engineer who has experience in program management.Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S.is:
$80.00 - $85.00 /hour . Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
