Job Description

Coneybeare Workforce Solutions is partnering with an established Aerospace manufacturing company in the Greater Los Angeles area in search of a Quality Manager to join their team. This is a permanent, on-site opportunity for an experienced quality leader ready to own and drive a best-in-class Quality Management System in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role offers competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings with company contribution, and additional employee programs.
Overview:
Lead and manage the Quality Assurance department, including hiring, training, performance management, and day-to-day supervision of quality personnel. Own the Quality Management System from the ground up — developing, maintaining, and improving site procedures and processes in alignment with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements. Dig into non-conformances, drive root cause analysis, and lead corrective action efforts across the facility. Track and report on quality metrics, identify trends, and keep leadership informed through regular management reviews. Oversee incoming material inspection, supplier quality, and raw material disposition processes. Make sure the gage calibration system stays tight — managing all key inspection and process instruments and working with vendors to sharpen inspection techniques. Serve as the point person for customer audits, accreditation audits, and internal audit programs. Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Customers to align on requirements and push continuous improvement forward. Build a culture of quality across the facility — coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team.
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years leading Quality Systems at a supervisory level. Hands-on experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment — required. Minimum 2 years working directly with NADCAP requirements. Strong knowledge of aerospace product and process specifications including AMS and ASTM standards. Experience with product and process failure analysis and quality principles such as SPC, TQM, and MRB. Familiarity with fastener testing equipment, metallurgical evaluation procedures, and mechanical inspection equipment a strong plus. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, CRE, or CSSBB preferred. Proven ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and drive change in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position is subject to ITAR requirements — U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, Political Asylee, or Refugee status required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
