We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and people management for a talented hardware engineering organization. This is an opportunity to remain closely connected to the engineering work while shaping team strategy, developing technical talent, and guiding complex products from early concept through production and ongoing support. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader who can balance technical decisions, business priorities, project timelines, and team development while partnering effectively across the organization. Here's what you'll be doing: Lead and develop a high-performing hardware engineering team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development. Drive hardware programs from product concept and architecture through design, verification, manufacturing, product launch, and sustaining engineering. Provide technical leadership during architecture discussions, design reviews, technical tradeoffs, and resolution of complex engineering challenges. Coordinate cross-functional execution with Product Management, Project Management, Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to keep projects on track. Improve engineering operations by identifying risks, optimizing processes, balancing resources across projects, and promoting consistent design, verification, documentation, and manufacturing practices. Here's what our ideal candidate has: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; a master's degree in engineering, engineering management, or business is preferred. 10+ years of progressively responsible hardware engineering experience, including 3-5+ years leading or managing hardware engineering teams. Strong knowledge of hardware design, verification and validation, manufacturing, product lifecycle management, and Design for Manufacturability/Assembly/Test/Reliability (DFx). Demonstrated experience delivering complex electronic products from concept through production, with the ability to balance technical, schedule, quality, reliability, and cost considerations. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to remain technically engaged while empowering engineers to own solutions. Additional Qualifications Experience building, mentoring, and retaining strong technical engineering teams. Understanding of hardware regulatory and compliance requirements, including EMC, safety, and environmental standards. Strong project planning, prioritization, risk management, and resource allocation skills. Sound technical judgment and the ability to make thoughtful decisions in a fast-moving product development environment. A collaborative leadership style and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
