Position Summary:

The Sr Manager, Electrical & RF/Wireless Engineering, is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, parts, components, and integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems, as well as the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of RF and wireless telecommunications networks. Determines design approaches and parameters and analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. May use high level programming languages to configure programmable logic devices. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and operational characteristics that may impact system performance or sustainability, and may review vendor capability to support development. Applies specialized skill sets including digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, Antenna, RF and control systems knowledge as required. Wireless and network responsibilities include link budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity including traffic analysis, initial system design and dimensioning, coverage planning, site identification, evaluation and zoning support, frequency planning, and interference analysis and optimization. May develop, design and assess the methodologies and performance of specialized algorithms for radar, communications, sonar, geophysical, and other sensor processing applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Specialized skill sets including digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, and control systems and or experience with RF and antenna systems. Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function. Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Ability to complete up to 10% travel yearly, domestic or international.
