Position Summary:

The Sr Manager, Electrical & RF/Wireless Engineering, is responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, parts, components, and integrated circuitry for complex, high performance hardware systems, as well as the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of RF and wireless telecommunications networks. Determines design approaches and parameters and analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. May use high level programming languages to configure programmable logic devices. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and operational characteristics that may impact system performance or sustainability, and may review vendor capability to support development. Applies specialized skill sets including digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, Antenna, RF and control systems knowledge as required. Wireless and network responsibilities include link budget analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity including traffic analysis, initial system design and dimensioning, coverage planning, site identification, evaluation and zoning support, frequency planning, and interference analysis and optimization. May develop, design and assess the methodologies and performance of specialized algorithms for radar, communications, sonar, geophysical, and other sensor processing applications.

Solutions are innovative and unique and draw upon best practices based on expertise. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are often complex, requiring broad-based consideration of variables that impact multiple functions and/or businesses. Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem. Recommends operational plans and tactics that will directly impact the achievement of overall functional results. Directs the execution of tactics established by functional leadership. Establishes operational plans for the job area with short

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience. Specialized skill sets including digital, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, and control systems and or experience with RF and antenna systems. Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function. Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Ability to complete up to 10% travel yearly, domestic or international. •$294,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
