Full Job Description Circuit Design Engineering Manager Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Circuit Design Engineering Manager to join an exciting and dynamic team integrating, testing and supporting production of missile flight avionics. The electronics suite covers a range of hardware from both analog and digital areas.Location:
This position does not support teleworking. You will need to live near our Lockheed Martin Space Waterton facility or Deer Creek facility and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. What does this role look like? Lockheed Martin is approaching the production phase of the U.S. Army's premier kinetic‑energy missile‑defense system NGI. The Circuit Design Engineering Manager will oversee a suite of electronics units supporting the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program. In this role you will lead a team in completion of qualification activities followed by supporting hardware production and test. Key areas of focus for leading this team are technical excellence and delivering hardware deliverables on schedule. This role blends aspects of excuting on design, production support, test failure support and preparation for delivery of mission critical hardware. Key activities you will accomplish in this role: Oversee a team responsible for the design, production, integration, and test of a suite of electronics units, resolving technical issues to deliver high-quality hardware on schedule. Communicate technical status, issues, and risks to program, technical, and functional leadership, as well as to the customer. Lead development testing and hardware qualification for high-reliability missile and space avionics electronics, resolving test anomalies through troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Drive discrepancy resolution and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) implementation, including participation in Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) and Failure Review Board (FRB) proceedings as required. Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives, ensuring coordination between functional groups throughout the product development life cycle. To be effective in this role, you will need: Electronics hardware design, development, and test experience with analog or digital circuitry at the circuit card and unit level. Experience in the development and production of missile, launch vehicle, space, or equivalent high-reliability flight hardware, including resolving build and test issues. Material Review Board (MRB)/EMRB and Failure Review Board (FRB) experience, including failure investigation and root cause analysis, or equivalent Certified Principal Engineer / Responsible Engineer / Responsible Systems Integration engineering experience. 8+ years of professional experience. Manages the design and development of circuits used in electronic devices. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs layout and mask design, device evaluation and characterization, test box design, prototype construction and checkout, and determination of wafer fabrication processes. Responsible for the preparation of test methods and specifications; analyses of equipment to establish operating data and conducting experimental tests. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent combined education and experience, with specialized training commensurate with the assignment. Experience in electronics hardware design, development, and test of avionics electronics at the circuit card and unit level. Project/program leadership experience in electronics hardware development and production. Experience in the development of missile, space, or equivalent high-reliability applications, including product ownership responsibility. Desired Skills Aerospace experience supporting the development of flight hardware. Demonstrated experience with avionics architecture, both physical and functional. Understanding of analog and digital circuit design and analysis. Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics. Experience with test and measurement equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Certified Principal Engineer / Responsible Engineer or Responsible Systems Engineer experience. Experience providing supply chain technical oversight, including proposal support and technical evaluations. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to address diverse audiences such as customer reviews and management meetings. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
