As the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department's technical direction and ensuring the successful execution of projects. You will lead a team of different development disciplines, providing structure, guidance, and support to achieve the company's strategic goals. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing resources, and ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the robotics development team, advancing a culture of innovation, collaboration, delivery, and continuous improvement. Advance the team to adhere to the engineering strategies, principles, processes, and procedures to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Ensure the team adheres to the ASI Product Development Process (PDP) and passage of all gate reviews. Maintain compliance with budgets, resource management, and milestone deliveries. Oversee the design, development, and testing of engineering solutions, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and performance standards. Perform internal development reviews and gates [

Collaborate with other departments, including product management, operations, and manufacturing to align engineering efforts with business objectives. Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the robotics engineering team, resolving complex technical issues and challenges. Promote requirements-driven designs, ensuring that all engineering solutions are aligned with customer needs and business goals. Facilitate the alignment of verification and validation processes with the specified requirements. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and certifications. Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting professional growth and career development within the team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. 5+ years of proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role. 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams. Strong technical background with expertise in engineering principles, practices, and methodologies. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience managing engineering budgets, resources, and timelines. Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications. Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience as a Director of Engineering or similar. Experience working in Robotics, Automation, or a similar field. Master's Degree.
