Role DescriptionOur client is seeking a Site Design Professional Engineer to join their on-site team in Marianna, FL. This position will support the planning, design, and implementation of civil infrastructure projects, including site development and stormwater design.
Key responsibilities include preparing engineering plans and reports, performing design calculations, assisting with permitting, and coordinating with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
The engineer will also communicate with clients, local communities, and governmental agencies, collaborate with internal teams, and participate in field visits, data collection, and construction observation to help ensure projects are implemented accurately and in accordance with approved designs.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop civil engineering plans and designs for site development and infrastructure projects.
Perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports.
Design and support stormwater, drainage, and water resource management projects.
Assist with permitting and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, internal teams, clients, and governmental agencies.
Support project planning, scheduling, and delivery.
Conduct field visits, data collection, and construction observations.
Ensure designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Strong civil engineering design and infrastructure development experience.
Experience or knowledge of stormwater, drainage, and water resource management.
Ability to perform engineering calculations and develop construction/design plans.
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar engineering design software.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, governmental agencies, and internal teams.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal civil infrastructure regulations and permitting is a plus.
Ability to work on-site in Marianna, FL and perform occasional field work.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
