This position partners closely with facility leadership to ensure all building systems are operating efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing hands-on leadership in the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of commercial HVAC and electrical systems within a large-scale facility environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and preventative maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, including electricians and HVAC technicians. Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC and electrical system issues. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, and building codes. Manage building automation and Building Management Systems. Assist with capital improvement projects, contractor coordination, and vendor management. Support event operations by ensuring facility systems and utilities are fully operational. Develop and manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and equipment lifecycle planning. Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset management documentation. Qualifications Minimum 4 years of building maintenance experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, convention center, or similar large-scale facility. Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing maintenance personnel. Strong hands-on experience with commercial HVAC systems and electrical systems maintenance. Experience with Building Management Systems and computerized maintenance management systems. EPA Certification for refrigerant handling required. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety standards. High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by technical training in HVAC, electrical systems, or facility maintenance. Experience in convention centers, hotels, arenas, stadiums, or similar public-facing facilities is highly preferred.
