Job Description

Research Technology Management
  • Vice President, AI Enablement Lead (Alpharetta) Morgan Stanley Global Research is seeking a Vice President to serve as AI Enablement Lead within the Research Technology Management (RTM) organization.
The AI Enablement Lead will be responsible for driving the practical adoption, development, governance, and optimization of generative AI and related AI capabilities across Global Research. The role will lead the department's dedicated AI Enablement team, currently comprising five Prompt Engineers and four Annotators, and will operate at the intersection of Research, technology, data, AI/modeling, product management, training, and governance. The AI Enablement Lead will be responsible for translating the needs of Global Research analysts and teams into scalable, compliant, high-value AI solutions. The role will oversee the complete enablement lifecycle—from identifying and prioritizing use cases through requirements definition, solution development, evaluation, deployment, adoption, measurement, and ongoing support. The successful candidate will combine a strong understanding of financial services and investment research workflows with hands-on AI and technical capabilities, product and project management experience, and demonstrated leadership skills. The individual must be comfortable operating both strategically and tactically: establishing an AI enablement framework and roadmap for the department while also contributing directly to solution design, prompt development, testing, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Responsible for executing and shaping AI adoption strategy for Global Research, identifying and prioritizing high-value use cases and building a roadmap that improves analyst workflows, productivity, and research processes, defining the optimal balance of centrally developed tools vs custom solutions, team enablement and support of teams with ready-to-deploy AI assets.
  • Lead the AI Enablement team (5 Prompt Engineers, 4 Annotators), setting priorities, managing delivery, developing talent, and driving best practices across generative AI initiatives.
  • Translate Research needs into AI solutions, partnering with analysts, technology, data, and product teams to design, deploy, evaluate, and support scalable AI tools, prompts, and workflows.
  • Drive AI governance and compliance, ensuring all AI solutions meet legal, risk, model governance, information security, and regulatory requirements within a highly controlled environment.
  • Serve as the AI subject matter expert for Research, evaluating emerging AI technologies, optimizing platform/model usage, and advising stakeholders on the most effective applications of generative AI.
  • Lead training, change management, and measurement efforts, increasing AI adoption through education, best practices, KPI tracking, user feedback, and reporting on business impact to senior leadership. Ideal Background
  • 5-10+ years in financial services, investment research, fintech, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and research workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI, prompt engineering, and Python.
  • Proven team leadership, product/project management, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to bridge business, technology, and governance functions while driving enterprise AI initiatives.
