Job Description

BCE Cleaning Systems manufactures and distributes commercial and industrial-grade pressure washing and sewer jetting equipment and accessories throughout the U.S. We serve contractors, municipalities, and businesses that depend on reliable equipment for demanding professional applications. As we grow and expand our product line, we are looking for an experienced engineer to take a key leadership role across manufacturing, engineering, product quality, and new product development. This is a hands-on position, split approximately 50% manufacturing floor leadership and 50% engineering , troubleshooting, and product development. You will work directly with our shop technicians and company leadership to keep production moving, improve quality and throughput, solve technical challenges, maintain plant equipment, and turn real-world manufacturing and customer feedback into better products. It is a core leadership position with significant influence over BCE's products and manufacturing operations as we scale the business.

Key responsibilities:

On the shop floor (≈50%) Lead and coordinate the shop technicians building pressure washer units, jetters, skids, and trailer packages Drive daily throughput: sequence the work, clear bottlenecks, keep builds moving to ship dates Own build quality and final inspection standards and every unit leaves the show like a premium product Troubleshoot build and field issues in real time: pumps, engines, burners, plumbing, electrical, controls, hydraulics Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair of plant equipment and shop tooling Improve how we build: fixtures, jigs, work instructions, layout, standard build sequences Engineering and product development (≈50%) Design and develop new pressure washing and jetting equipment, from concept through to production release Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation: CAD models, drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions Own and organize BCE's CAD design database

  • versioning, revision control, and a structure the whole shop can work from Component selection and vendor engineering: pumps, engines, burners, coils, unloaders, hose and fittings, frames and enclosures Engineering support for sales and customers on custom and application-specific builds Continuous improvement of existing products for cost, serviceability, reliability, and safety
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering

  • mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or a closely related discipline 8+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with meaningful time spent on the production floor, not only at a desk Hands-on experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting commercial and industrial pressure washing and/or sewer jetting equipment , or directly comparable equipment: high-pressure pump systems, engine-driven equipment, hydraulics, industrial burners, or trailer•and skid-mounted machinery Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar), with the discipline to keep a design library organized and revision-controlled Familiarity with an MRP/ERP system for BOMs, and inventory management Experience managing and developing a small-to-medium team•you've led technicians, run a floor, and gotten work out the door through other people Practical troubleshooting instinct: you can look at a machine that isn't behaving, form a hypothesis, and test it quickly Detail orientation and a genuine standard for product quality A customer-first mindset you understand that a warranty call is a real contractor losing a day of revenue Legally authorized to work in the United States Located in Calhoun, GA or within reasonable commuting distance (this role is on-site; relocation candidates are welcome to apply) Compensation and benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Paid time off and holidays Direct access to ownership, real decision-making authority, and the chance to shape a product line and a manufacturing operation as the company scales
