An Engineering Program Manager provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies.

Day to Day + Manage the program plan to ensure timely, quality completion aligned with organizational goals. + Monitor and mitigate program risks promptly. + Collaborate closely with engineering, product, UX, and other cross-functional teams to align efforts and resolve roadblocks. + Conduct program reviews with Engineering, Product, UX, and Science leadership to assess progress, address issues, and drive recommendations. + Define and drive programs focused on engineering excellence aligned with business and organizational goals. + Provide regular updates to leadership and key partners on status, challenges, and opportunities. + Engage cross-functional partners regularly to gather feedback and refine strategic processes for quality and engineering best practices. Responsibilities + Plan and manage large, complex programs, driving project delivery through engineering and product managers; step in to manage projects as needed. + Manage program teams to deliver value and collaborate with senior partners and other program managers to define and execute roadmaps. + Conduct risk assessments to ensure implementation plans meet partner requirements and strategic priorities. + Use effective communication to inform and influence business partners; proactively network across Indeed to advocate for program success. + Identify root causes of organizational problems or opportunities and partner with appropriate teams to implement timely solutions. + Mentor project teams and junior program/project managers to enhance their project management skills and close skill gaps. + Foster collaboration across cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and successful program execution.
