Job Summary The Corporate Project Engineer IV is a recognized technical authority who handles the most critical, large-scale capital projects and is a subject matter expert ( SME ) for the project execution process and engineering standards. Operating at an advanced-to-expert level across technical and cognitive skills, they drive strategic thinking, high-level risk management, and successful execution. This role is also recognized as an expert in financial governance and the capital funding ( AFCE ) process. Essential Duties +
Subject Matter Expertise:
Serve as the primary technical authority for the plant's capital portfolio. +
Design Oversight:
Approve major design deviations and provide high-level solutions for execution roadblocks ensuring all engineering solutions meet or exceed standards. +
High-Level Decision Making:
Lead critical decision-making processes, utilizing expert-level data analysis, reasoning, and risk identification. +
Project Execution Process:
Serve as the recognized SME of standards, ensuring projects do not advance to the next phase without a fully defined scope, budget, and adherence to the Project Execution Process and engineering standards.. +
Strategic Planning:
Develop and present comprehensive business cases for critical, large-scale capital projects. +
Portfolio Management:
Ensure projects do not move to the execution phase without a fully defined, locked-in scope, schedule and budget. +
Continuous Improvement:
Drive high-level continuous improvement and adaptability strategies across the engineering department to prevent capital project delays or budget overruns. +
Cross-Functional Leadership:
