Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist position is available at a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital located near Boise, ID. This contract opportunity offers an ASAP start for a duration of 13 weeks or more, with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule. The facility utilizes Cerner for its information technology systems. Responsibilities for this role include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with nurses and physicians, and managing pharmacokinetics tasks. The pharmacist will ensure safe and effective medication use within the hospital setting, collaborating closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient care. Ideal candidates will hold an active Idaho pharmacist license or be able to obtain one quickly. Prior hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred to navigate the fast-paced clinical environment and electronic health record systems effectively.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in Idaho or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly Experience in hospital pharmacy settings Proficiency with Cerner or similar pharmacy information systems Strong skills in order verification and medication management Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
