Job Description

The Manager of Manufacturing Engineering leads all Manufacturing Engineering activities at the site and drives year-over-year operational performance improvement through technical leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement. As a member of the site leadership team, this role partners across site and enterprise functions including Innovation, Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and Commercial to support operational excellence, organizational capability, and long-term growth. Lead and improve Manufacturing Engineering processes, manufacturing & engineering personnel partnerships, practices, and team capabilities, including engineering documentation, manufacturing process development, equipment implementation, and problem solving. Lead the Engineering team to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget by prioritizing work and leveraging team strengths. Own the Release to Manufacture (RTM) process, ensuring all required technical specifications and documentation are complete, including product drawings, geometric specifications, process documentation, and CNC programs. Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations, including cycle time optimization, setup reduction, scrap and rework reduction, process standardization, and capacity utilization. Lead engineering activities related to process development and validation, equipment moves, new technology implementation, and supplier onboarding. Develop engineering talent by aligning team capabilities with business needs, supporting career progression, and providing performance feedback and recognition. Foster a continuous improvement culture where employees actively contribute ideas, solve problems, and support operational excellence. Partner with the Site Leadership Team to support strategy deployment, align engineering priorities with business goals, and monitor progress through KPIs and action plans. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience preferred. 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of people leadership experience strongly desired. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Experience in machining or cutting tool manufacturing environments preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality principles, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methods. Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract and analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines while delivering results and holding teams accountable. Ability to build trust, influence others, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Experience collaborating with external customers, suppliers, and cross-functional internal teams. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to coach and guide others through structured problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
