Role qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field of study strongly preferred, or may substitute suitable experience. Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong project management experience in a technical environment. Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions; solid conflict resolution skills. Solid team leadership, team building and facilitation skills. Requires on-site presence in a traditional business week schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
Cultivates a Safety First culture at all times, along with enforce safety rules and safe work practices, especially 5S. Leads compliance efforts for all aspects of EHS including develops compliance schedules for all chemicals and safety regulations. Directs day to day operations for Surface Treatment Solutions. Develop and maintains training programs to ensure correct operating procedure, corrective/preventive/predictive maintenance routines. Manages, oversees and coordinates all aspects for medium to large, typically more complex projects from scope definition, to award, through completion of project, including: overall site management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget as required by the contract. May handle multiple projects simultaneously. Prepares project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures Ensures quality compliance to established standards, or able to develop new standards plus lead quality investigations and non-conformance reporting. Proactively communicates project requirements to project team and wider organization as and when required, and maintains accurate and up to date records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records necessary for processing of internal and external report. Proactively communicates project schedules, project change proposals and related project activities on a regular basis with internal customers and seek to continuously improve internal customer satisfaction. Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies, services and controls necessary for timely and cost effective completion of project within budget. Experience with TPM program development, training, and implementation a plus. Promotes precision maintenance via techniques not limited to vibration, infrared, ultrasound, motor circuit evaluation, oil sampling Create and assist with training programs for Production personnel Requires the flexibility of working on off-shifts for observation, analysis and training. Delegates tasks to technical staff reports. Employee may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
Extensive engineering knowledge with chemical background. Experience with viscosity, density, evaporation of fluids manipulation. Strong capability in problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to organize and analyze process data, utilize statistical analysis, and effectively troubleshoot complex chemical processes with hypothesis testing. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share technical information with technical staff and/or management. Ability to trouble-shoot equipment malfunction, downtime or stoppage. Understand and interpret technical drawings, schematics, P&ID diagrams, layouts and data sheets. CAD experience. Practical hands-on experience with coating processes is a plus.

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
