Job Description:
Lead and supervise the Instrumentation & Controls team, ensuring efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of plant control systems. Manage and optimize DCS/PLC systems, field instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, HART). Drive preventive maintenance programs and perform root cause analysis to maximize system reliability and uptime. Oversee calibration and repair of transmitters, sensors, VFDs, PID loops, and related control devices. Ensure safety and environmental compliance across all I&C activities, promoting a strong safety culture. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and union teams on projects and plant performance improvements. Provide hands-on support during outages and emergencies in a power plant environment. Develop training programs and mentor I&C staff to enhance technical expertise and team capability. Utilize CMMS (e.g., Maximo) for planning, documentation, and spare parts management. Contribute to budget planning, maintain IT workstation hardware for control systems, and uphold all company standards and procedures. #ENG1
