Senior C&Q Lead (HVAC & BMS)
Engagement Details Location:
Lebanon, Indiana — Minimum 4 days/week on-site

$135-$160/hr 1099 | $95-$120/hr W2 + Per Diem The Opportunity Planet Pharma is partnering with a large pharmaceutical manufacturing capital project to identify a Senior C&Q Lead focused on HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS). This role serves as the project-side leader responsible for commissioning, qualification, and readiness activities across critical environmental control and automation infrastructure. The successful candidate will provide leadership, governance, and oversight throughout the full C&Q lifecycle while coordinating closely with engineering, construction, automation, quality, operations, and contractor teams. This is a program leadership role focused on execution, alignment, and delivery rather than discipline-specific design responsibilities. What You'll Own C&Q Strategy & Execution Lead commissioning and qualification activities for HVAC and BMS systems across the project lifecycle Develop and maintain project C&Q strategies, plans, and execution frameworks Ensure qualification deliverables are developed, reviewed, approved, and executed to project requirements Maintain compliance with GMP requirements, internal standards, and quality procedures Drive readiness planning from commissioning through operational handover Technical Coordination Act as the primary point of coordination between project stakeholders and contractor C&Q teams Support commissioning execution, troubleshooting, investigations, and risk-based decision making Coordinate with engineering, construction, automation, operations, and QA teams Ensure alignment between project goals, execution plans, and qualification requirements Provide governance and oversight for contractor execution activities Schedule & Risk Management Monitor C&Q progress and identify risks that could impact project delivery Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning activities Support schedule integration and readiness forecasting Escalate critical issues and drive resolution across stakeholders Leadership & Reporting Provide leadership and mentoring to project C&Q personnel Establish clear expectations and performance standards Review and approve qualification documentation and execution reports Support audits, inspections, and regulatory readiness initiatives Promote a right-first-time culture focused on quality, compliance, and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline 10+ years of Commissioning & Qualification experience within GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environments Strong expertise across the full C&Q lifecycle including DQ, FAT, SAT, IQ/IV, OQ/OV, and PQ/PPQ Experience leading HVAC, environmental control, or Building Management System qualification programs Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and contractor organizations Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, validation methodologies, and compliance expectations Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Strong planning, risk management, and project execution capabilities Nice to Have Experience on large greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing projects Extensive HVAC commissioning and qualification leadership experience Building Management System (BMS) qualification experience Professional certifications related to validation, commissioning, or project management
