Job Summary:
Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. A leading producer of award-winning recreational vehicles located in Nappanee, Indiana, is looking to fill the vital role of Engineer for our Towable Travel Trailers and Fifth Wheels. Responsible for the design, development, and production of RV's. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge.
General Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with the company's overall goals. Plant and oversee the introduction of new technologies and innovations in the RV design and manufacturing. Foster a collaborative team environment. Oversee multiple engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives. Coordinate with other departments such as design, production, and marketing. Ensure the design and development of RV's meet industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Implement and oversee the use of CAD software and other engineering tools. Develop and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards in RV manufacturing. Address and resolve any engineering-related issues or defects. Seek cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. Stay updated on changes in the industry regulations and standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, efficiency, and sustainability of RV's.
General Requirements:
Extensive experience in the RV or automotive industry. Proven experience in managing large engineering teams and complex projects. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g.
CAD, CAE
). Strong understanding of RV design, manufacturing processes, and materials. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting. Strong project management skills, including planning and execution Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
