Position Summary
•is seeking an experienced Planner II to support substation maintenance and construction activities across the Indiana service territory. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the execution of substation work to ensure projects and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in utility operations, substation maintenance, substation construction, construction management, or a related field. Candidates with strong planning experience and knowledge of electrical substations are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed work plans and project schedules for substation maintenance and construction activities.
Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and contractor resources to support planned work.
Ensure all work packages are complete, accurate, and ready for execution.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, construction, and field personnel to identify work scope and planning requirements.
Review drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions to support project execution.
Track project and maintenance activities, providing updates on schedule, resource needs, and potential risks.
Support outage planning and coordination activities as required.
Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, work efficiency, and resource utilization.
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Attend weekly team meetings at the Plainfield headquarters location.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree and relevant industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in utility operations, maintenance planning, construction planning, project coordination, or a related field.
Knowledge of project scheduling, work management, and resource planning principles.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of planning experience within the electric utility industry.
Experience supporting substation maintenance and/or substation construction projects.
Construction management experience.
Familiarity with utility work management systems.
Knowledge of electrical substation equipment, operations, and maintenance practices.
Experience coordinating field crews, contractors, and project stakeholders.
