Job Description
Distribution Designer - Electric Utility Onsite in Lake Charles, LA Sirius Staffing is hiring a Distribution Designer for an onsite position in Lake Charles, Louisiana, supporting electric distribution design projects. This role supports electric distribution design work that commonly relies on GIS tools to map and manage network assets. The design projects may support customer requests, system reliability initiatives, or infrastructure improvement. Key ResponsibilitiesMeet with customers to determine electric needs and project requirementsDesign complex electric distribution systems and projectsDevelop designs for the installation, replacement, or removal of distribution facilitiesPerform advanced load calculations and system planningCoordinate with engineers, project managers, and field crewsReview and approve drawings, designs, and specificationsEnsure designs and work comply with applicable regulatory and safety standards QualificationsAssociate degree, bachelor's degree, or technical diploma in a related field4-7+ years of relevant experienceStrong expertise in utility design and field practicesConstruction experience requiredManagement experienceFamiliarity with structural analysisExperience working with GDT/GIS systems preferredDrafting background is a plusPole Foreman experience is a plus Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
