08/26/2026 Job Description Job Description CYTRIC is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager with a strong electrical engineering background and solid knowledge of power-distribution systems. The ideal candidate will be able to review electrical drawings and technical documentation, understand switchgear and related equipment, develop shutdown and breaker-isolation procedures, coordinate field activities, manage vendors and schedules, and communicate effectively with customers and project teams. The candidate should also have a working understanding of mechanical, plumbing, controls, and general construction systems to support multidisciplinary project coordination. Key Responsibilities Review electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, specifications, submittals, and equipment documentation. Develop step-by-step plans for electrical shutdowns, breaker isolation, switching, testing, energization, and restoration. Review and understand switchgear, circuit breakers, ATS systems, transformers, generators, UPS systems, panelboards, protective relays, and electrical controls. Coordinate electrical work with mechanical, plumbing, controls, and general construction activities. Plan and coordinate field installations, outages, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting. Manage project schedules, vendors, subcontractors, submittals, RFIs, equipment deliveries, and outstanding technical issues. Prepare technical reports, procedures, meeting minutes, progress updates, and project documentation. Lead customer and project coordination meetings and communicate technical, schedule, and field risks. Ensure work complies with applicable
NEC, NFPA
70E, OSHA, manufacturer, and project-specific requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering, construction, commissioning, or project-management experience . Strong understanding of electrical power-distribution systems. Experience working in switchgear rooms, electrical rooms, substations, generator rooms, or similar environments. Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and understand upstream and downstream power distribution. Ability to develop electrical shutdown and breaker-isolation procedures. Strong knowledge of switchgear, breakers, ATS, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and protective devices. Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, controls, and general construction systems. Strong technical writing, communication, scheduling, organization, and project-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to satisfy applicable federal facility-access and background-screening requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with federal, healthcare, laboratory, mission-critical, industrial, or secure facilities. Experience with low- and medium-voltage switchgear, breaker testing, protective relays, ATS, generators, and UPS systems. Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, building automation, or power-monitoring systems is a plus. Familiarity with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Visio, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar tools.

certification is preferred. Work Environment This is a 100% on-site position supporting projects primarily in Bethesda, Maryland. Some night, weekend, or off-hour work may be required for shutdowns, testing, and commissioning.
