An Engineering Program Manager provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies.

Job Description
Rate Range:
$30/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. New Model Program Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Lead and coordinate new vehicle and powertrain launch programs, ensuring successful execution of program objectives, timelines, quality targets, and manufacturing readiness. Manage pre-production build events, vehicle fleet activities, prototype evaluations, and launch-related deliverables across cross-functional teams. Drive issue identification, tracking, escalation, and resolution by collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, product development, and program teams. Oversee engineering change management processes, ensuring design changes are reviewed, approved, and validated prior to production builds. Prepare and present launch status reports, risk assessments, budget updates, and executive-level program reviews to leadership stakeholders. Support manufacturing plant launch activities, team integration efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure smooth transition from development to full-scale production.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. 4+ years of experience in Program Management, Vehicle Launch, Manufacturing Operations, Product Development, or Automotive Engineering. Experience managing new vehicle or powertrain launch programs, including pre-production builds, issue management, engineering change management, and cross-functional program execution. Strong project management skills with experience in launch readiness, risk assessment, budget and timing management, manufacturing operations, and stakeholder communication within an automotive environment.
