The ideal candidates should have Project Engineering experience specifically with Construction projects. Requirements of the Civil Project Manager Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree Experience with civil engineering, land development, utilities and/or structures Industrial/Automotive/Higher Education markets project experience highly preferred Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to safety Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines. Interpret plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to develop accurate quantity takeoffs. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Develop bid proposals, schedules, and value-engineering options. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions. Maintain historical cost data and update estimating tools as needed. Accountable for overall safety, quality, schedule, profitability, and customer satisfaction on assigned projects. Establish and oversee the safety plan and enforce a strong safety culture at assigned sites. Write and manage all contracts with contractors, testing companies, and design professionals. Lead project kickoff, planning, and scheduling activities.
